who we are

When the Lord called me to pastor Calvary Chapel Lehigh Valley, He put it on my heart to reach out to the community where He planted us. Our mission field is Allentown, Bethlehem, Easton, and Lehigh Valley. Since that time in 2012 we have reached out the thousands of people in our community. This is a fulfillment of the word that our Lord spoke to me when I first came out here from New Jersey: that Calvary Chapel Lehigh Valley would minister to many more people than those who come through our doors on a Sunday morning.

We believe that we aren’t called to “Do church,” we are called to “Be the church;” to be the hands and feet of Jesus. To do as James tells us…provide for both the physical and spiritual needs of the people in our community:

If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? (James 2:15-16)
To that end, we have become a Church Without Walls, we take the church to those who can’t get to church. We “Go” as our Lord commanded us…and bear witness to Him by showing the community the Love of Christ by reaching out to them and loving them as He does!
