The Kingdom of Heaven belongs to "such as these"

KIDS church

People were bringing little children to Jesus for him to place his hands on them, but the disciples rebuked them. When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these." (Mark 10:13-14)

Let the little children come to Jesus...that is our mission here at Calvary Chapel Lehigh Valley is to lead the children in our church and in our mission field (The Lehigh Valley) to Jesus.

To that end; our Discipleship Children's Church focuses on:

Leading the children to Christ by:

1. Teaching them about His Love

2. Teaching them about His Life

3. Teaching them about His Legacy

The Love of Jesus: And he took them in his arms and blessed them, laying his hands on them. (Mark 10:16)  He took them into His arms, showing His love for them...and He blessed them. We begin our journey with Jesus by learning of His sacrificial love for us.

The Life of Jesus: Jesus said, ‘Here I am—it is written about me in the scroll, I have come to do your will, my God.’” (Hebrews 10:7) We believe the Bible is the only source to learn about the life and ministry of Jesus. We also believe that it is never too early to begin that life long journey of learning about Jesus by opening the Bible and experiencing His life through His Word.

The Legacy of Jesus: Just before Jesus ascended into heaven the last thing He said to His disciples was:

"You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” (Acts 1:8)

What Jesus taught, what He wanted His legacy to be, was the spreading of the Good News...the gospel message. Learning about the love of Jesus and the life of Jesus comes full circle when you are able to tell others about Jesus. Even children can learn to be a witness to the love and life of Christ. not just what it looks like and feels like. Design is how it works.

WOMEN'S ministry

Upcoming studies

The Women’s Ministry at Calvary Chapel Lehigh Valley seeks to make disciples by studying the Word of God and applying lessons from the Bible to our lives.  We believe that the Bible is relevant for all, no matter what age or stage of life we may be in – for any situation or need that we may encounter.  Hebrews 4:12 tells us “For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”

The format of our group on Saturday mornings is:  a short fellowship time, complete with breakfast.  Then we will have a Bible study, with opportunities to share, discuss and encourage each other how to apply what we’ve read.  A time of prayer for each other and the needs of the body wraps up our time together.

We seek the Lord’s heart and His guidance on what to teach to ensure that the women who attend will be anchored sure and steadfast, solely in Jesus Christ and His Word. (Hebrews 6:19)

OUTREACHministry

When the Lord called me to pastor Calvary Chapel Lehigh Valley He put it on my heart to reach out to the community where He planted us. Our mission field is Allentown, Bethlehem, and Easton, the Lehigh Valley. Since that time in 2012 we have reached out the thousands of people in our community.

OUTREACH ministry

When the Lord called me to pastor Calvary Chapel Lehigh Valley He put it on my heart to reach out to the community where He planted us. Our mission field is Allentown, Bethlehem, and Easton, the Lehigh Valley. Since that time in 2012 we have reached out the thousands of people in our community. This is a fulfillment of the word that our Lord spoke to me when I first came out here from N.J. That Calvary Chapel Lehigh Valley would minister to many more people than those who come through our doors on a Sunday morning. We believe, that we aren’t called to “Do church,” we are called to “Be the church,” to be the hands and feet of Jesus. To as James tells us…provide for both the physical and spiritual needs of the people in our community:

If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? (James 2:15-16)

To that end, we have become a Church Without Walls, we take the church to those who can’t get to church. We “Go,” as our Lord commanded us…and bare witness to Him by showing the community the Love of Christ by reaching out to them and loving them as He does!

This is the focus of our ministry:

Christ has no body on earth but yours,

no hands but yours,

no feet but yours.

Yours are the eyes through which

Christ's compassion for the world is to look out;

yours are the feet with which He is to go about doing good;

and yours are the hands with which He is to bless us now.
